How much does a circumcision cost?
Cost depends on many factors, such as age of patient, services chosen, and more. For more information on fees, contact the Circumcision Clinic.

How long is the healing process?
Healing goes in stages. But the first rule of thumb is this: every baby heals on his own clock. In general, however, this is how things typically go:
In the first week, one can anticipate swelling and slight discoloration of the glans. After a week, the swelling is gone and things begin to look "normal". However, it still takes a couple more weeks for the skin to grow in completely. While the aftercare only lasts up to 3 days, the full healing process usually takes about a month.

Does my child feel pain during the procedure?
While the nerve endings of all newborns are underdeveloped, they do feel the discomfort of the circumcision. We use Local Anaesthetic.

Is my baby likely to get an infection?
With all surgeries, there is a risk of infection. In circumcision, they are very rare. When they do occur, it is most likely due to fecal matter accessing the incision. That is the primary reason that the aftercare requires a petroleum based ointment. It acts to waterproof the area and protect it from bacteria.

Wait... how does this aftercare thing work again???
Super easy. Prior to the circumcision, you'll need to buy about 20 3 x 3 gauze pads and an petroleum based product. [Please buy "ointment" and not "cream".] For every diaper change for the first 2-3 days, you will prepare a gauze with ointment and place over the affected area. That's it. After the 2-3 days, there is nothing else you have to do. It's that simple!
